A sunny morning in Hobart can turn by lunch. We watch the Bureau forecast for your site from three days out.
- 15 kg on every leg. Weights or pegs on all legs, plus guy ropes. Never left freestanding.
- Walls for the southerly. Clip-on window walls close off any side against wind and drizzle.
- Free move if it turns. If we call it unsafe, your hire moves to another date at no charge.

Questions
Good to know before you book.
Can you set up on grass, decking or concrete?
Yes. On grass we peg the marquee and add weights. On decks, pavers and concrete we use weights only, so nothing is drilled or pegged into your surface.
How much space do I need?
Allow the marquee size plus about 1 m clear on every side for guy ropes and access. That means a flat area around 12 × 7 m for one marquee, or about 22 × 7 m for two joined end to end. Send a photo of the spot and we'll confirm it fits.
Do I need council approval?
Not for a private party in your own yard. Parks, beaches and reserves usually need a booking with the council or venue. We can supply our public liability certificate for your application.
What if it's going to blow a gale?
We check the forecast for your site from three days out. If gusts above 50 km/h are forecast we'll call you, and your hire moves to another date or is refunded in full.
Can I keep it longer than a weekend?
Yes. Each extra day is 25% of the weekend rate. Midweek hire for work events is welcome too.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 14 days out and your deposit is refunded. Inside 14 days the deposit can move to another date within 12 months.
